Ingredients:
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ARM & HAMMER™ baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup softened butter or margarine
- 1 cup chopped nuts (e.g., peanuts, walnuts, or pecans – optional)
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter, both sugars, and vanilla. Add eggs.
- Stir in the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Add chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
- Let cool on the tray for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Cool for 30 minutes and store in an airtight container.
